Board of Directors Application Information

One of the hallmarks of our GHC-SCW cooperative is the requirement that members are elected to serve on our Board of Directors. Applications are now being accepted to serve on the Board of Directors.​ 

The Board of Directors election is held online between May 15-June 20 and ​the results of the election are announced at the Annual Membership Meeting on June 23, 2023.

The Board of Directors has a responsibility to shape, guide and monitor our health care system for the benefit of all members. Once elected, Board Members at​tend regular monthly meetings where they: Engage in Strategic Planning; Monitor operations reports from GHC-SCW senior management and the Board Chair; and Serve on committees that review and resolve organizational policies related to Finance, Business Strategy, Health Service Delivery and Board Development. 

​Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following skills:

  • ​Finance/Banking/Investments/Economics Experience
  • Strategy/Innovation/Entrepreneurship ​Experience
  • Insurance Industry Knowledge
  • Healthcare Management Experience
  • Board Experience
  • Cooperative Experience
