  • Basic patch testing via the TRUE test. This covers the 35 most common allergens that can cause allergic contact rash in North America.
  • For patients with hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) of the armpits that do not respond to oral or topical medications, we offer Botox injections to address the sweating.

Skin Cancer Screening

When to Get a Skin Cancer Screening

If you have any of the following happening on your skin, ask your primary care provider for a referral to dermatology so we can see you:

  • If you have a spot that’s bleeding for no apparent reason or a spot that you remember injuring, but you injured it four to six weeks ago and it’s still bleeding off and on.
  • With pigmented growths, if you have a brown or black spot that’s changing in size, shape or color.
  • If you have a history of skin cancer or atypical moles, you should regularly see us for exams.

Preparing for a Skin Cancer Screening
  • Decide if you want your dermatology provider to take a look at a handful of individual spots of concern or a full body skin cancer exam. It’s a matter of what’s comfortable for you and what your skin looks like.
  • Check your own skin before the appointment. If you notice anything new, changing or unusual, point it out to us.
  • Remove your finger and toe nail polish so we can see the skin under your nails.
  • Wear your hair down. Your provider will take a look at your scalp if you’re doing a full body exam.
  • Remove any makeup so your provider can see the skin around your eyes.
