BadgerCare Plus

Program Information

BadgerCare Plus is a state and federal program that provides health care coverage for Wisconsin individuals and families. Currently, the following Wisconsin residents qualify for BadgerCare Plus:

  • Parents or caretakers of dependent children under 19 years of age with household income at or below 1​00% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)
  • Pregnant people with household income at or below 300% of the FPL
  • Children under 19 years of age, regardless of household income
  • Young adults (ages 18 - 20) who are leaving foster care and are enrolled in BadgerCare Plus at age 18, regardless of income

Apply for Benefits

To see if you are able to enroll in BadgerCare Plus, visit the State of Wisconsin’s online application tool at ACCESS.wi.gov.  Select "Am I Eligible?" to see what health, nutrition and other programs you may be able to enroll in, or select “Apply for Benefits” to apply. If you are unsure of what region you qualify for, please reference our WI Income Maintenance Consortia​ map.
