2020 Flu Clinic Shot Information
We are happy to announce new options for GHC-SCW members to get their flu shot for the unique 2020-2021 flu season!
Starting on October 1 2020, members can receive their flu shot at a Navitus Pharmacy or during any scheduled UW Specialty Care Appointment. GHC-SCW Clinic Pharmacies do not currently provide flu shots.
These new flu shot options will be a covered GHC-SCW insurance benefit and should cost members zero out of pocket.
The Navitus Pharmacy Network includes Costco, Walgreens, Hy-Vee and many other local choices!
Each Navitus pharmacy has specific rules regarding flu shot administration. For the best possible experience, we recommend that members call ahead to the approved Navitus Network pharmacy of their choice to confirm:
- The pharmacy provides flu shots at that location.
- The location has the type of flu shot needed based on the age of the member.
- If the location provides flu shots for children and if yes, how young.
- Whether members will need an appointment at the location or be able to walk-in.
If you cannot find a local Navitus Network Pharmacy that offers flu vaccines to children under six years old, please call your primary care clinic for assistance.
Members without the pharmacy benefit in their plan can pay out-of-pocket for a flu shot at a Navitus Pharmacy and then submit their receipt to GHC for reimbursement.
As a reminder, if you already have an upcoming appointment at a GHC-SCW clinic, you will be able to get your flu shot during your scheduled visit.
In an effort to keep members as safe as possible, flu shot walk-ins will not be accepted at any GHC-SCW clinics this year.

Members can also get their flu shot at Costco.
If you received your flu shot at Costco between September 1, 2020 and October 1, 2020 please send your payment receipt from the Costco pharmacy to GHC-SCW

Exceptional Health Care
At our six primary care clinics in the Madison area, you'll find best-in-class primary care providers, doctors, nurses and practitioners who work with you to deliver exceptional health care.
Unlike many others in the area, our providers are paid the same whether they see two patients a day, or 15. Which means they take the time to get to know you – the time to talk, ask, learn and connect. Please click here to review our Cost and Quality Information for Health Care Consumers.

At GHC-SCW, we believe that quality care requires a team approach. We build a care team of health care professionals around you. It may include pharmacists, mental health providers and physical therapists – it varies because it's designed to meet your unique needs.
Together, they are committed to providing you with the care you need, when you need it.

Each GHC-SCW primary care clinic is a doorway to the best care in Dane County – including UW specialty and hospital care, the Meriter Birthing Center and our own integrated complementary medicine center. Learn more about our Family Medicine with Obstetrics care here o en español aquí.
We even have clinics that aren't clinics at all, like virtuwell, our 24/7 online clinic, and the GHC NurseConnect line.
